At least 16 people have died from the wildfires in Los Angeles and more deaths are expected to be confirmed as authorities tally the number of victims.
California officials said it may take several weeks to identify all the victims in Pacific Palisades and Eaton, reported the BBC.
Below is a list of victims who have been identified by authorities and/or their family members.
Anthony and Justin Mitchell: A 67-year-old retired father of four, Anthony Mitchell died in his Altadena home while trying to escape the fire with his son, Justin Mitchell, who was bedridden with cerebral palsy.
Victor Shaw: A resident of Eaton, Shaw, a 66-year-old man, died defending his home. He was found with a garden hose in his hand, reported KTLA News.
Randall "Randy" Miod: The body of the 55-year-old man was found inside his Malibu home, reported the BBC.
Rodney Nickerson: An 83-year-old man who worked as a project engineer for Lockheed Martin. He told his daughter the wildfires would "pass over." Authorities found him deceased in his Altadena home.
Annette Rossilli: An 85-year-old woman who initially refused to leave when evacuation orders were in place, was found in her car, trying to escape the inferno, near her Pacific Palisades home.
Rory Callum Sykes: A 32-year-old man living with cerebral palsy who perished in his family's 17-acre Malibu estate in Palisades according to his mother, Shelley. Sykes was a former child actor who was born blind.
Erliene Kelley: An 83-year-old resident of Altadena who didn't want to leave her home because other fires never reached it, recounted her granddaughter. Kelly's remains were found in her property.
