Enrique Iglesias is the latest cover boy of Billboard magazine and opened up about his relationship with his father Julio Iglesias, Anna Kournikova and his new album titled "Sex and Love." The "I'm a Freak" singer is well-known in the Latino market and has scored multiple hits in English but he reveals he has struggled to maintain a position within the music industry. "There's always some artists who don't need to fight, that get immediately played on Top 40 no matter what -- you know you have a guaranteed Top 20 hit," he says. "I got to fight like it's my first record every time." His new album made its debut at No. 8 on the Billboard 200 and had a dramatic slip to No. 42 the following week. "I've never been so focused on the first week. For me, it's about getting to the finish line," he says.
Iglesias also told the magazine that his relationship with his famous father is not as strong and he hasn't even met his tennis playing girlfriend. "The last 14 years, 15 years of my life have flown by. And that's the only way I can truly explain it," he revealed. "There's no reason why -- it's not his fault, and it's not my fault." Enrique's name has come up multiple times to be a judge or coach of reality singing competitions like "American Idol," "The X-Factor" and "The Voice" but has consistently declined those offers. "I cared more about going into the studio and writing songs," he says. "That's what makes me happier." The 38-year-old singer also said that age has taken a toll on his body and how he deals with hangovers that now last for days when they used to last hours when he was younger. He added, "The first two weeks of touring are tough on me because I notice it in my bones, in my joints, it's 'Whoa.'" Watch a behind-the-scenes look at the photo shoot down below!
Fans of Enrique Iglesias will have a major reason to follow the 2014 World Cup as the singer has made a bet that could lead him to pose naked. The "Hero" hitmaker is a big soccer fan and during the previous tournament promised to waterski naked if his home country of Spain won. During his visit to talk show "Alan Carr: Chatty Man" in England, the titular host made a tempting proposition. "I'll have a bet with you: If Spain wins you have to do a bet and if England wins the World Cup I'll do a bet," Carr said. Enrique, the daredevil that he is replied, "That's no problem. That would actually be great. What do you want to bet?" The ended up agreeing on riding a massive blue cockerel naked in Trafalgar Square in London. During his visit to the U.K. he also stopped by "The Voice" and performed his latest smash hit, "I'm A Freak" on the same episode Shakira was featured.
