Word on the street is that Enrique Iglesias has ditched his longtime record label home at Universal and signed with Sony Music.
Billboard first revealed the exclusive, claiming that the Spanish crooner's albums "will likely be released by Sony Music Latin in Spanish and RCA in English."
Iglesias first launched his successful trajectory as a signed artist for Mexican record label Fonovisa, but it wasn't until he formed part of the Universal/Interscope family that the 40-year-old became a crossover star. The record label released his English and Spanish albums for more than 10 years.
The last album the Grammy-winning artist dropped under his Universal contract was "Sex and Love" in 2014, containing the smash hit single "Bailando."
Though Sony Music and Iglesias have yet to confirm the news, Billboard also states that the singer's move is due to Sony offering "major international support." It's also "one of the biggest contracts offered to any artist in recent years in terms of advances and royalties," according to close sources.
