Tonight is a brand new episode of "Empire" on Fox and episode 17 titled, "Rise By Sin," is sure to bring nothing but drama to the hit-series.
From the promo episode for "Rise By Sin" we see know that federal agents are still after the Lyon family, well really just Lucious (Terrence Howard). We also see Jamal (Jussie Smollett) and Lucious have an intense conversation in the recording booth and Lucious tells his son he is nothing but a disappointment. And there will be a shoot out at the American Sound Awards.
Fox also released a first look clip for "Rise By Sin" where we see Jussie Smollett and Taraji P. Henson talking about latest threat to the coming after the Lyon family.
According to Futon Critic, the synopsis for episode 17, "Rise By Sin," reads: "Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray) feels the pressure of his underwhelming fiancé, Laura (Jamila Velazquez), as he struggles to find a place for her both in his family and his career. Cookie finally reveals to Jamal the truth behind what happened to Freda's (Bre-Z) father, prompting Jamal to warn Freda of his family's ulterior motives. Meanwhile, despite his frustration with the family, Jamal makes a sacrifice for Lucious from which it will be hard to recover."
"Empire's" new episode, "Rise By Sin," will air Wednesday, May 11, at 9 p.m. EDT on Fox and will be available the next day via FOXNOW, Xfinity, iTunes, Hulu, Google Play and more. Some of these options will cost you. Episode prices range from $1.99 to $2.99.
