"Empire" is making sure that everyone tunes in to its upcoming second season by revealing a crazy load of celebrity appearances, back-to-back.
Just recently, it was announced that Becky G will be a guest star on the show. Though no details were revealed on her role, Cosmopolitan reported that her character's name is Valentina. The Mexican-American songstress joins celebs such as Alicia Keys, Kelly Rowland, Ludacris and Lenny Kravitz, who've all been invited to form part of the popular TV series.
But they're not the only ones in the bandwagon, as some of our favorite Latinos will also be appearing on the show.
The latest artist to land a role on the show is Cuban-American rapper Pitbull, who seemed thrilled to have joined the cast. "Thank you for the opportunity, DALE! @EmpireFOX," he expressed on Twitter. According to Billboard, Mr. 305 will "perform 'No Doubt About It' on the show alongside Jussie Smollett, who plays singer and newly installed Empire Records head Jamal."
The beloved Mariah Carey, who recently nabbed her own star in Hollywood's Walk of Fame, is also headed to "Empire." The show's co-creator Lee Daniels revealed the news early this week. And let's not forget when Fox announced that "Magic Mike's" Adam Rodriguez will be joining the cast as a recurring guest. In fact, he'll be a potential new love interest for Cookie (Taraji P. Henson).
The hip-hop drama television series, which renewed for an 18-episode second season for the fall, premieres at 9 p.m. on September 23rd via FOX Network.
