After last week's incident, in which Elvis Crespo allegedly harassed a casino female employee, got thrown out of the establishment, went to a restaurant to use the facilities and tried to leave with a bottle of alcohol he didn't pay, got into a fight with the owner and reportedly pooped in his pants after he was knocked down, the Puerto Rican singer finally reappeared and admitted he has an alcohol problem.
Crespo was spotted going inside the Professional Hospital in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, accompanied by his sister. He spent hours in the facility and addressed the press as he went out, before getting into his car and leaving the building.

"What happened last week was unfortunate and embarrassing. I made a mistake. I made a mistake and I apologize to my family and my fans. I acknowledge I have a problem with alcohol, and I have to work it out," said a clearly ashamed Crespo.
The singer continued, revealing he wants help and is seeking it privately. "I'm searching different rehab facilities so I can move on. This things happen. I can't rewind them, but I think God has a purpose for me and I need to move on."
He went on thanking the press for being there for him during his best moments, and assured them he would be following up on his condition as frequently as possible. "I will keep you posted as things progress. You know I've always stepped up in my not-so-good moments, and since you've always supported me in my best times, I'm addressing you personally, as this will be my last statement for now."
In his statement, Crespo never addressed Alexander de Jesús directly, the owner and manager of "Made in Puerto Rico," the restaurant in which the singer tried to leave without paying for his alcohol. When confronted by De Jesús, the "merenguero" attempted to kiss him and later called him a "faggot," resulting in the beating that literally scared the s**t out of Crespo.

Previous to the artist's declarations, De Jesús had filed a complaint against Crespo, opening up a police investigation and demanding that the singer apologizes to him, his girlfriend and his business partner, all who were present at the time of the incident.
