Ardent fans of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” recently woke up to a rather disappointing rumor — Ellen DeGeneres will forcibly quit the all-time famous show, owing to a painful neck injury. Turns out, however, that the piece of news was nothing but an elaborate hoax. And it wasn’t too long before Gossip Cop busted it.

Throwing in a bit of context, speculations ran amok after DeGeneres revealed how she hurt her neck but was unaware of what caused it. She divulged that her chiropractor had mentioned to her that she had sprained it. But the injury didn’t prove to be cumbersome as DeGeneres went on to host episodes after episodes, contrary to what popular tabloids reported.

“Ellen’s already filming only four days a week and [she] has been telling people she can’t handle the grind anymore,” an alleged insider said. Pushing it a tad further, the National Enquirer conjured up a piece titled “Health Problems Pushing Ellen To Quit!”

Needless to say, the report was immensely sensationalized as the magazine went on to label DeGeneres’ injury as “mysterious and paralyzing” when in reality, there’s really nothing to worry about. In fact, the popular show host announced two weeks ago that she has gotten better.

For the record, this isn’t the first time that DeGeneres has been a topic of fake reportage. Early in March, the same magazine conjured up rumors about trouble in the show host’s paradise.

There were reports about how DeGeneres and De Rossi’s marriage was “crumbling” and that they were already living “separate lives.” But Gossip Cop eventually busted the rumor.

Last year, Gossip Cop called out the magazine for fabricating false stories with zero background checks. The rumors about DeGeneres and De Rossi heading for a divorce and DeGeneres ditching her wedding ring were some of the stories by the magazine, which held little truth.

With a source close to DeGeneres confirming that all is well on the host’s health front, one thing is certain: “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” will go on up until 2022 at least, the year of the expiration of its contract.
