An elderly Washington woman who vanished after having dinner with her handyman was found encased in cement days later.
Marcia Norman, 82, was reported missing by her family the same day she had dinner with Jeffrey Zizz, her 47-year-old handyman. Norman's home showed signs she had "left abruptly," FOX 13 Seattle reported.
During their investigation, detectives interviewed Zizz, who was previously convicted of child molestation, and seized several items belonging to him, including his vehicle. The handyman then fled the state in his friend's vehicle but was arrested in Montana and extradited to Washington on April 6.
On April 9, the Thurston County Sheriff's Office revealed detectives found human remains "partially encased in concrete" beneath a shed on Zizz's property. They later discovered the remains belonged to Norman.
Zizz remains in custody without bond at Thurston County Jail for a child molestation sentencing violation warrant and has also been named a person of interest in Norman's death.
