As Eduin Caz was in his element, sprinting inside the arena to go back to the stage after changing his clothes, he suddenly slipped and crashed to the floor, causing a chaotic scene that involved several crew members rushing to his aid.

The Miami show was part of Grupo Firme's sold out "La Última Peda Tour," which started on May 10th in San Antonio, Texas. The band had played in New Laredo and San Antonio without major incidents, but Caz wasn't so lucky at Miami's Kaseya Center

What happened to Eduin Caz?

The Grupo Firme lead singer was running inside the arena with a cup filled with liquid in his hand. The swift movement caused a spill, and he slipped, landing hard on his elbow and hitting the floor with his face. His knees also received a significant impact, adding to the severity of the fall.

Videos of the fall, shared by Univision's show "Despierta América," spread like wildfire online, amassing over 17,000 reactions in a few hours and a flood of concerned comments. Fans voiced their sympathy and admiration for Caz's resilience, with comments like, "Wow, poor guy, he's always getting into something."

The celebrity photographer José Devillegas, who was present during the fall, added, "He kept singing like nothing happened, what a pro!"

Despite the severe pain, Caz's professionalism shone during the incident. He managed to finish the show, demonstrating remarkable dedication to his fans. However, he needed assistance getting off the stage, and after being checked by paramedics, he was taken to his car in a wheelchair

Last year, Eduin Caz also injured himself during a show

On May 20, 2023, Eduin Caz went viral for an exuberant moment during Grupo Firme's concert at Los Angeles Sofi Stadium when he threw himself into the crowd. However, the response from the audience was not what he expected, as the regional Mexican vocalist fell to the ground because his fans did not catch him.

The miscalculation caused some bruising and a lot of memes, but luckily, the injuries were mild, and the Mexican music artist showed his sense of humor, sharing some memes himself.

Artists that have fallen during shows

Eduin Caz's mishap is the latest in a long line of famous stage falls among Latin music performers. Legendary singer José José once fell off the stage during a performance in Peru but heroically returned to finish his show.

Similarly, Juan Gabriel, another iconic figure, took a dramatic plunge during a concert in Houston. Despite the severity of the fall, he continued to perform with his usual flair, turning the mishap into a memorable part of his legacy. Natanael Cano, Alejandra Guzmán, Gloria Trevi, and more have had similarly painful incidents on stage.

More recently, Karol G also fell during her 2021 show at the Kaseya Center, but her accident was in front of the audience, and her injuries were severe enough to force her to leave the venue in an ambulance.

Grupo Firme's "La última peda tour"

Luckily, Eduin Caz has confirmed he is well enough to be on stage with Grupo Firme for their next date in Tampa, on June 6th, before going to North Carolina, New Jersey, Tennessee, and more.

Their last concert in the U.S. is scheduled for November 2nd in Los Angeles. Let's hope that Caz stays safe.
