EA Sports has certainly enjoyed its fair share of success in recent time with the releasing of popular video games that have become staples in the sports gaming world. Following a successful run with ‘FIFA 13,’ the gaming superpower launched the highly anticipated ‘FIFA 14’ in September and never struggled for positive headlines. The game received a 9.0 out of 10 from IGN and a 90-percent score from Xbox Magazine UK, solidifying the game, FIFA series and EA Sports as one of the most consistent entities in their respective categories.
In addition to the positive release of ‘FIFA 14,’ ‘NHL 14’ and ‘Madden NFL 25’ were purchased in high volume upon their debut. Recently announcing a World Cup-themed game that will become available in April of 2014, EA Sports continues to reach out to sports fans across the globe because they understand what gamers/fans want to see from each one of their products. Thanks to the inclusion of Next Gen technology, many new EA games have been able to simulate the exact movements, styles and features of the top athletes in the world including Barcelona soccer star Lionel Messi, 2013 Ballon d’Or Award winner Cristiano Ronaldo and NFL superstar quarterback Peyton Manning.
While professional football, soccer and hockey remain incredibly popular sports, Ultimate Fighting continues to grow on a daily basis around the world as well. Thanks to the rising stardom of fighters Jon Jones, Alexander Gustafsson, Anthony Pettis and the always-popular Chuck Liddell, UFC has become one of the most watched and talked about events in professional sports. Looking to further the popularity of the sport while continuing to build their already successful brand, EA Sports recently announced plans to launch ‘EA Sports UFC,’ a game that will use the aforementioned Next Generation technology in order to simulate the actions of each and every fighter.
Currently in development at EA Canada in Vancouver, ‘EA Sports UFC’ will become available this spring for the new Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles. In mirroring the actual movements and styles of each fighter in the competitive league, ‘EA Sports UFC’ will include highly anticipated features including dynamic striking, real damage and strategic submission battles in order to make every fight appear completely lifelike.
The MMAi feature will also give every licensed fighter in the game varying fight plans and rotating goals. In the Ultimate Fighting ring, each fighter has his own set of personal goals and pre-match routines in order to help him build the strongest career possible and EA’s video game edition will follow through with those practices, another step toward bringing out the best UFC has to offer from a digital perspective.
