In anticipation for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, EA Sports announced recently that "2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil" will officially hit stores on April 15. For those not able to wait the remaining two weeks before the soccer game is available for purchase, the sports video gaming superpower released the demo version, which is available for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 platforms. Hoping to continue a strong buildup heading into the summer tournament, EA Sports launched the official developer trailer for the game last week, which highlights unique game modes along with the thousands of players each gamer will have the opportunity to utilize.
While the complete game will feature 203 national teams and nearly 7,500 soccer stars, the demo version -- which is also available for download by visiting the EA Sports website -- will only include 8 international squads and the ability to play from the Estadio do Maracana, the stadium that will host the 2014 World Cup Final. The United States, Mexico, Brazil (the 2014 World Cup host), Ivory Coast, Japan, New Zealand and Australia will be featured in the sample game as will the brand new adidas brazuca, the official match ball for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Excited about their latest product, EA promises to offer gamers never-before-seen features that should only enhance the World Cup experience.
“Experience all the Fun, Excitement, and Drama of Football’s Greatest Event,” the company said. “Multiple improvements and innovations to the award-winning gameplay of FIFA 14, plus 100 new animations, make EA SPORTS™ 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ the most accessible, fun, and exciting EA SPORTS FIFA title on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Bring to life the world’s greatest tournament by choosing from 203 National Teams in the deepest set of modes ever in a tournament title from EA SPORTS. Immerse yourself in the FIFA World Cup™ as you play in authentic Brazilian stadiums, and recognize the support of newly rendered crowds created to replicate the passion and pageantry of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™.”
In addition to being able to utilize the demo for "2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil" beginning on Wednesday, April 2, fans of the product will also have the opportunity to receive exclusive game content that includes new celebrations, the adidas All-Star team and even the EA Sports FIFA Classic XI upon preordering the game.
The demo for Xbox Live Silver members will be available on April 8, with the download available here. For all preorder information, follow this link to the EA Sports purchase center.
