Miami Heat star Dwayne Wade was finally able to experience the end of a lengthy and draining divorce battle with ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches earlier this week.
Reaching a final divorce settlement after a six-year battle, ESPN.com's Brian Windhorst reports that the 31-year-old All-Star will pay his former partner $5 million with a non-disparage agreement included in the settlement. This agreement means that each party will not make negative and disparaging marks about one another at any time.

Wade filed for divorce from Funches in 2007 and after the divorce was finalized in 2010, the former Marquette University standout won full custody of his sons Zion and Zaire in 2011.
Late last week, Siohvaughn Funches was seen on the streets of Chicago holding a sign that read 'NBA Miami Heat star, mother of his children on the streets' because she was upset with the way the court system - namely Judge Thomas Carr - handled the ongoing divorce battle between herself and Wade.
"Dwyane Wade is offering to pay only some of what he owes me if I sign an agreement never again to discuss what happened in our marriage or with our children, I refuse," Funches told the Chicago-Sun Times. "I finally told Carr I just wanted to end the case and keep my freedom and my voice. I told him I didn't want anything from Dwyane. The judge demanded the trial continue. I couldn't believe it."

According to CBS Chicago, Funches continues to state that her ex-husband refuses to pay her a monthly total of $25,000 in spousal support. Despite the negative claims and actions made by Funches, Dwyane Wade's attorney James Pritkin said in a recent statement that his client made multiple attempts in the past to settle the matter.
Dwyane Wade has made several requests over the years to settle this matter, despite Ms. Funches having 16 different attorneys and 2 arrests throughout this process.
Mr. Wade has provided a very generous settlement to Ms. Funches to continue to live a wonderful lifestyle for the rest of her life.
Dwyane Wade has maintained over the years financial support to his ex-wife by providing her with income over $25,000 on a monthly basis, timely paid for her home mortgage, maintenance and security at the house, 4 cars, insurance, taxes and all of her attorney fees throughout this process.
Ms. Funches has made a mockery of homelessness which is a serious and personal issue for Mr. Wade as his mother was homeless for a period of time when he was a child.
Mr. Wade continues to hope that one day he will have a civil relationship with his ex-wife for the sake of their sons.
In addition to the recent settlement, a court will determine whether or not Funches will be entitled to future visits with her 2 sons.
