Snooki
Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi was sent home last night from "Dancing With The Stars" in a shocking elimination that left the "Jersey Shore" star in tears, as well as the whole ballroom. ABC

Let's face it. At the beginning of the season we were a little skeptical about Nicole Polizzi, aka Snooki, our favorite "hot mess" of reality TV. However, "Snoocole," how she was nicknamed by "Dancing With The Stars" host Tom Bergeron, proved to be a very skilled and talented dancer, and vindicated herself in the small screen, proving the world that all her "Jersey Shore" antics are way behind her. Truth is, Snooki and pro dancer Sasha Farber were on fire, delivering interesting and captivating performances, taking advantage of Nicole's new post-baby figure -- the best she's ever looked! -- and her previous stint as a cheerleader in high school to amaze viewers with out-of-this-world backflips, eye-catching lifts and a lot of energy.

Unfortunately, viewers didn't vote enough for her, and the new mom of baby Lorenzo said goodbye last night, in a shocking elimination that didn't leave a dry eye in the ballroom. "I can't even talk right now," Polizzi said, fighting back tears after her elimination was announced to a stunned audience. "I love everybody here, so it sucks." Polizzi spoke to E! News backstage after the surprising turn of events, "This sucks. I'm sad. I wasn't expecting to go, but it is what it is," Nicole said. "I wasn't ready to go." And it seems like other celebrity contestants felt the same, as it was reported that Bill Engvall, who was at the bottom two with pro dancer Emma Slater, revealed to the news source that he tried to give Snooki his spot and go home himself.

"I was in such shock that I looked at her and said, 'This isn't going to happen,'" he told E! News. "And they literally had to pull me back, Val [Chmerkovskiy] and Emma, they pulled my shirt and the producers came up to me and said, 'This is just the way it goes.'" Slater added, "He walked up really close and I'm surprised he didn't get in the shot. We had to hold him back!" However, this comedian that has proved to have a very supportive fan base said he was actually very happy that he and Emma were still in the competition. And although they've had the lowest scores for a while, Bill could probably earn the "most improved" award. Emma is doing a great job in creating choreographies fit for his dancing knowledge and abilities and each week his effort into learning new steps and improving his posture are displayed on the dance floor.

Sad eliminations and acts of chivalry aside, next week promises to be another great week at "Dancing With The Stars." Head judge Len Goodman will be out and Emmy, Oscar, Grammy and Golden Globe winner Cher will take over his spot. Are you excited already? 'Cause we totally are!
