Duolingo continues bringing levity to the world after it released a video of its late owl mascot, Duo, "getting killed" by a Cybertruck on Wednesday.

"UPDATE: Reward for whoever can identify the driver. Please post any leads on Twitter. Thank you for your patience with us during these trying times. #Ripduo," the app wrote in an X post accompanied by a video of a Cybertruck slamming into the owl.

X users joined in on the app's playful post with many joking about the driver being tech billionaire Elon Musk.

"omg it's @elonmusk PLEASE ARREST HIM," X user @HitsAndCharts quipped.

"Was just sent this exclusive cctv footage of the incident. Looks like @elonmusk to me. $duo," another X user piled on with a video of Musk driving a Cybertruck while the owl flips over the vehicle's windshield.

On Tuesday, the language learning app went viral after announcing on X that its owl mascot, The Duolingo Owl, or Duo for short, was dead.

"Authorities are currently investigating his cause of death and we are cooperating fully," the X post read. "Tbh, he probably died waiting for you to do your lesson, but what do we know."
