Just a few months back Toei Animation revealed a new "Dragon Ball" series would arrive to Japan this summer. The title of the new series is dubbed "Dragon Ball Super" and expected to premiere July 5 on Fuji TV. Check out everything we know about the new anime series below:
1. We have the plot - Here's a synopsis of the pilot episode, thanks to V Jump magazine via Anime News Network: "After defeating Majin Buu, life is peaceful once again. Ordered by Chi-chi to earn money, Goku works even as he wants to train even more. Meanwhile, Goten, about to become a brother-in-law to Videl, sets out on a journey with Trunks to find her a present."
2. The recent movies will play a part - The show will tie into the events of both "Dragon Ball Z: Battle of the Gods" and "Resurrection F" films, introducing two crucial characters, God of Destruction Beerus and Whis, from those films as series regulars.
3. We know which characters will be involved - Many of the character designs as well as the voice cast will remain the same. There are a few changes such as Gohan's more modern look and Krillin with hair! Check out the character concepts below courtesy of Den of Geek:
