In tonight's episode, Alfred gets a place on the Ritz cooking course. Worried that there is no news of Gregson, Edith is told by her doctor that she is pregnant. Meanwhile, Bates and Anna go out for a meal at a stuffy hotel. Cora is also at the restaurant in the hotel and ensures that hey are not admitted.
Meanwhile, Isobel finds the item the Dowager Countess thought the gardner had stolen. However, Dowager explains that she has apologized to the gardner and apologized. Rose arranges for a jazz band to play at Robert's birthday. Lord Grantham and the family are surprised to see who the jazz band lead-singer is.
