The forthcoming all-new "Doom" titile will receive an open beta, which will start next week on April 15, reports IGN. Bethesda has also announced that the title will also receive free DLC, plus three paid content packs after the title launches.
The open beta will run from April 15 to April 18 and will not require a code to join. Just like the closed beta, this one will be focused on multiplayer, allowing players to try out Team Deathmatch and Warpath modes on the Heatwave and Infernal maps.
Bethesda confirms that the open beta will start at 12:00 a.m. EST on April 15 and end at 11:59 p.m. EST on April 17.
It'll be fun to play the some of the multiplayer modes, as the title will come with a whopping six modes for gamers. These six modes will include Team Deathmatch, Warpath, Soul Harvest, Freeze Tag, Domination and Clan Arena. Bethesda released a trailer showing off all the multiplayer modes. This next-generation "Doom" title features single-player and multiplayer modes, as well as an advanced SnapMap stage design feature for fast and comprehensive stage creation that can be quickly shared online with other Doom players.
As for the DLC, Bethesda will be updating both the multiplayer and user creation modes, SnapMap with free content, including new game modes, AI enhancements and map modules. For the three paid packs of DLC, each will be priced at $14.99. The first pack has been vaguely detailed and will include:
- Three new maps
- One new weapon
- One new playable demon
- One new armour set
- One new piece of equipment
- New hack modules and taunts
- New customization colours and patterns
Furthermore, a Season Pass will be offered which is comprised of all the paid content and will cost gamers $39.99.
"Doom" will launch for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC on May 13.
