Back in June 2015, Univision announced they were breaking ties with the Miss Universe Organization and any other projects tied to the Trump Organization. Univision Communications Inc. made the decision following Donald Trump's insulting remarks about Mexican immigrants. Fast forward eight months later and it's as if nothing ever happened.
The presidential candidate and the leading media company serving Hispanic America announced Thursday "that they have settled their litigation arising from Univision's decision not to broadcast the Miss Universe and Miss USA pageants." Although the terms of the settlement are confidential, both parties were able to amicably resolve their differences.
“I have known Univision's President and CEO, Randy Falco, for more than 20 years and I'm glad we are able to put these differences behind us," Trump said in a press statement. Falco, who says he's known Trump for many years at both a personal and professional level, said Univision is pleased to "settle this matter and move forward."
