“Keeping Up with the Kardashians” might be coming to an end, but there’s still room for lots of drama! On Thursday’s episode, Scott Disick’s search for answers -- after unexpected fatigue hit -- left him wondering whether he had contracted the dreaded viral illness that has spiraled out of control across the globe, and particularly in the United States.
The 37-year-old ex-spouse of Kourtney Kardashian opened up about his difficulties in getting anything done due to the perpetual exhaustion. “Lately, I've just had no energy to do anything,” said Disick on the show. “I wake up and I'm just shot,” he added.
The reality star who’s currently seeing Sofia Richie and co-parenting three kids with Kourtney on the side seemed genuinely concerned about his health condition. “I just don't have the energy. I don't know if I'm getting old or I'm just not in great shape, but I just want to see if there's anything wrong with me,” he continued on the show.
The niggling fear pushed him to heed Kim Kardashian’s advice and get tests done. While he’s willing to go the extra mile to care for this health, Disick confessed to taking his body for granted in the past. “I'm definitely a drop nervous to do all these blood panels because I've put this vessel through a lot of trauma, I'm not going to lie,” he said. “I'm definitely scared, but if there's anything wrong with me, whatever is the best way to get my body functioning better is what I'm going to do,” he added.
Disick’s revelation about his rough past and hardcore partying ways formed the crux of the Thursday episode. While he’s had a history of battling alcohol abuse and checking into rehabs for help, Disick seemed to be motivated to start anew. His attorney Marty Singer, however, has refuted the authenticity of reports that suggest the 37-year-old underwent treatment because of cocaine or alcohol abuse. Instead, he averred that Disick had checked in to rehab to "work on his past traumas."
After waiting for the results with bated breath, the reports suggested that the underlying cause of his constant fatigue spell was due to “clinically low” testosterone levels.
After heaving a sigh of relief; Disick concluded, “I'm very thankful that there was nothing serious,” he said. “It could be from a number of reasons, so my doctor suggested I meet with a nutritionist, who did a more detailed blood test to find out why my testosterone is so low and to see exactly what's working and what's not working on my body,” he added.
Jenner, who met him soon after the medical results were out, offered support for his speedy recovery. “I'm thrilled for healthier choices, and that you're being proactive about it,” said Jenner to Disick on the show. “We want you to be happy and healthy, that's all. All of us,” she added.
