Actor and director Diego Luna released a short documentary on YouTube this week about the life of Javier 'Chicharito' Hernández, the star forward for the Premier League's Manchester United who is helping Mexico's national team face off against Brazil today in the Confederation Cup. The documentary, titled "#MiedoNo" ("#NoFear"), describes Chicharito's passion for soccer and the fears he had to overcome in order to become a star. Chicharito says that at age 21 he already felt old, as up until then he had not begun a career as a professional player. Today he is considered one of the best soccer players in Mexico.

"Maturity isn't something you demonstrate in your behavior," the star says, "maturity is something you show in making decisions."

The film, which is 3 minutes and 21 seconds long, was featured on Banamex's official YouTube page, and touches on a few of the most important moments in the career of the Mexican player. "I think my father has played a big role in my life," Chicharito says in it, adding, "What I was looking for in soccer, in life was to achieve what my father achieved. Everyone saw me as his son, the son of a famous person." The famous soccer player's nickname is the diminutive of that of his father Javier Hernández Gutiérrez, or El Chícharo, which means "pea" or "chickpea" in Spanish. His father got the nickname because of his short stature and green eyes during his time as a player with Tecos, Puebla, Atlas and Morelia.

The documentary makes mention, too, of Chicharito's maternal grandfather, Tomás Balcázar, a Guadalajara soccer legend, of whom a young Chicharito would ask after every game, "Grandpa, how'd I do?"
