According to new reports, Sofia Vergara and Nick Loeb are headed to splitsville. The "Modern Family" actress was spotted in late November without her 8-carat engagement ring and people are starting to freak out. Add to that that there was no sight of Nick on all the Thanksgiving pics Sofia posted on her WhoSay account, and that the Pepsi spokeswoman has been losing a lot of weight lately, which some people claim is the result of her struggle with the relationship. "She and Nick have been having problems since this summer, and they've been spending more time away from each other," a source told In Touch magazine. "The fact that Nick wasn't with her family on Thanksgiving speaks volumes," added the source.
"There is no wedding date, no plan, no dress," the insider went on. However, we know that Sofia recently sat down with Chelsea Handler and spoke about why she has yet to start planning a wedding. "I was thinking the other day that Americans take engagements like, 'Okay, we're engaged. It means let's plan weddings.' But for a couple of Latin Americans, you get engaged, but it's like another stage in your love life. It doesn't mean, 'Okay, let's immediately call the flower place.' It's like another period." Also, according to Gossip Cop, who allegedly checked with a source close to Sofia, she just couldn't travel with Loeb to Florida for Thanksgiving because she had work in L.A. "They are fine," the source says, adding that the magazine is simply "creating a story."
We wouldn't be surprised if Sofia was busy with work, since she stars in "Modern Family," is the face of Diet Pepsi, Covergirl, Rooms To Go and thyroid medicine Synthroid, in addition to Spanish-language commercials for a laundry detergent, Comcast and State Farm insurance. Add to the list that the actress is busy with her Kmart lines, which include both jewelry, clothes and home décor. We did a little digging ourselves, and found out that just this weekend, Sofia and Nick were together at a Giants game, as she posted a picture getting cozy with her fiancé. She has also been very vocal about a campaign that Loeb's company is starting in order to raise 4 million dollars to expand, so we're not too worried about the relationship being on the rocks.
