Jesse Eisenberg was recently interviewed by a reporter and blogger from Univision for his upcoming film "Now You See Me" and is making headlines for his behavior. The "Social Network" actor humiliated Romina Puga in the promotional interview on several occasions.
"So, I was just humiliated by Jesse Eisenberg. You know, the actor who played Mark Zuckerberg in the Social Network," writes Puga in a blog post.
The interview begins with Eisenberg calling Puga out on referring to Morgan Freeman by his surname alone, stating, "Freeman? Who are you? What, are you on a baseball team with him?" He then tells her she is "the Carrot Top of interviewers" and clearly makes the reporter unsettled.
When the Univision reporter tells the actor that she's going to cry (although she's not literally on the verge of tears) he tells her not to do it on camera or else people will think he made her cry. On two separate occasions, the actor behaves in a condescending fashion--the first time when he tells the reporter she is on his time after she tells him she wants him to do a magic trick to wrap things up and secondly when he tells her he said her name on camera and doesn't know what more she wants.

"He performs a pretty decent magic trick," writes the Univision reporter. "Actually, it's a trick my brother would do to me growing up. I knew how it was done but at this point I just wanted to go cry so I "ooed" and "awed" until it was over."
"When the five minute "interview" (more like self-esteem butchering) were finally over I went behind a curtain to wait for the memory cards from the interview. I peaked around the curtain to ask Jesse about his neighborhood in New York (he lives a few blocks from where I used to live) and he immediately says, "You're still here?""
But that's not to say the Univision reporter didn't get her two cents in. Within the first minute of the interview she tells Eisenberg that his thumb is fat and ends the interview by saying he is "such a jerk."
It is also important to note that viewers are not in the know of whether the interview began with Puga's Freeman question or if the two had spoken prior to when the clip begins and Eisenburg is merely responding to a previously hostile environment.
Responses to the story have been across the board with some commenters pointing out that the two are merely exchanging jabs in good fun and others questioning if the interview was not meant to create media attention.
