That's correct you read that right, the "granddaddy" of console games, "Diablo," is heading to a console from the PC.
To be exact "Diablo 3" is headed to the PS3 and PS4.
In February, Blizzard Entertainment announced that the insanely popular RPG would be heading to the console. On May 16, John Hight, Josh Mosqueira and Jason Bender shared additional information about the game.
During the interview they shared much detail, which you can watch below. And now we will share our top 5 changes for the game.
1. The Controller
"The controller is king," said Lead Console Designer Josh Mosquiera. The game is PC based so moving it from that to a console means no more mouse.
"This is not a Mouse, this is something different for us," said Senior System Designer Jason Bender. It is unknown how the DualShock 4 controller will be utilized but the Blizzard team said they are excited about using it.
2. Dodging
Exclusively for "Diablo 3" on the PS3 and PS4 you are now able to dodge using a new evasion roll technique.
3. 4-Player Multiplayer
The game will keep all players on the screen at the same time. And with the close-up view, your character will still be the center of attention while still being able to see what's going on around you.
4. Camera is Pulled In
This is probably less of a game feature and more of a console feature. If you think about it most online gamers play really close to the computer whereas console gamers are further away so the camera to the game is closer to the action and characters. This has good and bad aspects. The good being you will be closer to the action making it a more chaotic gaming experience. The bad is that you can't see the large map area as you're use to.
5. Playing offline
Again, this is more of a console change than game feature. Most consoles aren't always plugged into the Internet so there is no need to always play online. This also means that there will be no more auction house since you buy through the Internet.
"Diablo 3" is set for release on PS3 late this year and still no word on a PS4 release date.
