The 2013-2014 NFL season begins on Thursday, September 5 and with each team around the league preparing for their respective title runs, the immediate focus will be centered on 2 Super Bowl winning quarterbacks. Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos will host the defending champion Baltimore Ravens to begin the season and while Baltimore hopes a win jumpstarts its run to another championship, Peyton and company hope to serve up revenge for last year's postseason loss to the title holding Ravens.

Thanks to a 70-yard touchdown from quarterback Joe Flacco to wide out Jacoby Jones in the final stages of last year's AFC Divisional Round playoff game, Baltimore was eventually able to knock off the Broncos in Denver, creating a major upset in the 2012-2013 postseason. Baltimore would go on to defeat the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship game while the 13-3 Broncos were forced to watch from home. Now that a new season is right around the corner, Peyton Manning hopes to take down the team that ended his first year with the Broncos.

When and Where to Watch Denver vs. Baltimore

The Broncos and Ravens will meet on Thursday, September 5 at Sports Authority Field at Mile High in Denver. Kickoff time is set for 8:30pm, ET with television coverage available through the NBC Network. Those choosing to watch the game via on-line live stream can do so by following this link.

Pregame Notes

Thanks to the departures of linebacker Ray Lewis (retired) and safety Ed Reed (now in Houston), the Baltimore Ravens aren't expected to repeat as World Champions even though they did add a plethora of defensive talent. The signings of former Broncos defensive end Elvis Dumervil, former New York Giants defensive tackle Chris Canty and safety Michael Huff should help the defense remain strong but the emotional leadership of Ray Lewis and Reed will certainly be missed. Leadership duties now fall on Flacco and as everyone around the Ravens' camp will tell you, the Super Bowl champion quarterback is ready for the challenge.

As far as the Broncos are concerned, as long as Peyton Manning remains under center Denver will be just fine. The addition of star slot receiver Wes Welker only makes the offense more dangerous since jamming Welker alongside Demaryius Thomas, Eric Decker and rookie running back Montee Ball should create one of the top offenses in the league. Add in the fact that Denver will get suspended linebacker Von Miller back in 6 weeks and this team could be looking at a title run even though the first 2 games of the season - Baltimore and the New York Giants - will surely prove to be tough tests.
