Dave Portnoy Seemingly Walks Back Trump Support With List of Questions That 'Need to Be Asked'

Months after he said that Democrats "gave us no choice" but to vote for Donald Trump, Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy is questioning the president's new administration.

Portnoy raised a series of pointed questions about how key issues were being handled.

"If I'm gonna be fair these questions need to be asked today," Portnoy wrote, listing four questions:

"Why is the release of the Epstein list always a shit show? What's the point of booting out illegals and criminals while somehow becoming a safe haven for the Tate brothers? Why is crypto in the toilet if Trump is crypto king? How far does TSLA stock have to crash before Elon goes back to work?"

The post is a tone shift for Portnoy, who had previously celebrated Trump's 2024 victory over Kamala Harris as a rejection of Democratic "arrogance."

While stopping short of outright criticism, his questions suggest growing frustration among some of Trump's independent supporters who expected stronger action on issues like government transparency, economic stability, and business-friendly policies.

It remains to be seen whether Trump or his allies will respond to Portnoy's concerns, but his willingness to publicly challenge the administration could reflect broader unease among the very voters who helped secure Trump's re-election.
