A hacker claims to have accessed the House Ethics Committee's unreleased findings from an investigation into accusations that claimed that Matt Gaetz had sex with an underage woman.

The hacker, who was not identified, claimed they were able to view the report through a secure link sent between lawyers, a source told the New York Times.

The file was reportedly downloaded Monday afternoon by an individual named Altam Beezley, the source told NYT. However, the email associated with Beezley responded with an automatic reply that the individual is nonexistent after a lawyer reportedly tried to contact them.

Former Rep. Matt Gaetz, who was nominated to be Donald Trump's attorney general, was being investigated by the House Ethics Committee after reports alleged that the former congressman had sex with a minor. Calls for the report to be released increased following Gaetz's nomination.

The woman at the center of the investigation allegedly testified to the committee that she had sex with Gaetz when she was 17, ABC News previously reported. Gaetz called the report a "false smear."

The report is currently sealed by the Department of Justice, who previously investigated the allegations against Gaetz but did not charge him. Gaetz has continually denied all allegations.

As of Tuesday morning, the alleged hacker does not appear to have made the results public.
