Renowned music producer and Daddy Yankee's former manager Raphy Pina has been mentioned in the context of the legal battle between the iconic reggaeton singer and his wife, Mireddys González. Since his release from prison in May 2024, Pina has resumed his public life and hasn't hesitated to weigh in on the controversy.

The conflict arose after Daddy Yankee's lawyers filed a motion claiming that Mireddys González and her sister, Ayeicha, withheld financial information from the artist under the orders of his then-manager.

The legal document alleges that the sisters failed to disclose payments from the sale of the reggaeton star's catalog, key audits, and expense breakdowns related to his tour. They are also accused of deleting emails and restricting access to essential business accounts.

Raphy Pina's response

Pina reacted quickly, expressing sadness over how the situation is being handled and suggesting that money is at the heart of the dispute. "This is sad, a circus for money. A circus of accusations, using tools to damage someone," he stated.

Pina emphasized that during their nine years working together, he and Daddy Yankee maintained a relationship of respect, communication, and friendship. "No one in the world can contradict Daddy Yankee," Pina remarked, highlighting the artist's strong personality. However, he made it clear that all business dealings were discussed directly between him and Daddy Yankee, not with Mireddys González.

"I need to tell Ramón Ayala that I never did business with Mireddys González. I did business with him. We shook hands and became multimillionaires together," he asserted.

Speaking candidly during an Instagram live session, Pina described the situation as "a marital gossip fest" and said he knows the real story. "I was with them for nine years. I know all the real stories," he stated.

"It never crosses my mind to harm anyone. Before God, I say this—I'm not interested. Not because I'm foolish, but because I'm happy. My heart is calm and at peace," he added.

Pina also hinted at a media strategy behind the controversy, claiming that attorneys are capitalizing on the situation. "Every time there's drama, a song drops. It's an absurd strategy. The lawyers are just looking to make money. What case has generated more money than this? They're breaking records," he argued.

Reflecting on Daddy Yankee and Mireddys González's relationship, Pina pointed out that their divorce is a personal matter that has turned into a public spectacle. "They were together for 30 years—not five, not two, not one. They worked side by side, they were inseparable," he said.

Since his release from prison Pina has focused on his family and sharing his experience to raise awareness among young people about the consequences of their actions. However, with this legal battle making headlines, his name has once again taken center stage in the entertainment industry.
