Much to the excitement of viewers world over, “The Curse of Oak Island” Season 7 premiered on Nov. 5. For the uninitiated, episode 1 titled “The Torch is Passed” came with an official synopsis. The synopsis suggests the unexpected: the ship is buried in the swamp. So, needless to say, Rick, Marty and the team are on alert. Their return to Oak island is shrouded in mystery—as they are determined to go to great lengths to unravel the 224-years-old mystery surrounding Dan’s legacy.
The team got around to exploring the swamp under the assumption that there was a shipwreck at the bottom of it. Peculiar artifacts along with a sharp wooden structure were discovered, leading the men to think that these instruments could’ve been used back in the 14th century or were probably hidden by the Knight’s Templar.
The first episode of “The Curse of Oak Island” Season 7 also gave its viewers a peek into another intriguing discovery— a silver bowl and a metal detector. The episode also paid a heart-warming tribute to Dan. Blankenship, who was pegged as the “Giant of this Oak Island Quest”. As per popular reports, the legend breathed his last at the age of 95, from natural causes at South Shore Regional Hospital on March 17.
While episode 1 didn’t give much reason to disappoint, there’s quite a bit that fans are looking forward to, in the second season. As per the synopsis provided for the upcoming “The Curse of Oak Island” Season 7 Episode 2 titled “Core Values," there’s a glaring truth—suggesting that the swamp is manmade. This also brings to the fore that soil samples will be checked. It is believed that it was built to hide the ship which brought treasures to the island.
There has also been a mention about the team undertaking a scientific experiment which will show that the swamp is indeed manmade. Yet, there has been no mention of having found treasures as yet.
What needs to be noted is that professional diver Tony Sampson discovered a flat rock underwater—a large shaped platform, which is incidentally a man-made road made of stone. A deeper inspection of the stone is expected in the forthcoming episode.
With so much left to the imagination, make sure to not miss the “The Curse Of Oak Island” Season 7 Episode 2, which is set to premiere on Nov. 12 on History.
