He's back! That demonic 2-feet tall killing doll, Chucky is making his return. This time on the small screen. "Curse of Chucky" will be available on DVD and Blu-Ray October 8, 2013.
In the new trailer Universal shows the "Chucky" doll being delivered to a pair of sisters as they reunite following the death of their mother. Keeping with the origin of the demonic doll it comes to life as it is possessed by the serial killer Charles Lee Ray.
One of the sisters gives the doll to her daughter who says she and Chucky will be friends to the end. Dangerous words when you are dealing with a serial killer's ghost. "Chucky" comes to life causing chaos and killing for the fun of it. In one part of the trailer you see "Chucky" pushing a girl in a wheelchair towards a flight of stairs.
In another part he is adding rat poison to the family's dinner, attended to by a priest.
The DVD, Blu-Ray release will come on the anniversary of the franchise's first film "Child's Play" from 1988. The "Chucky" doll would go on to be featured in five installments with "Curse of Chucky" as the sixth.
The original voice of "Chucky" Brad Dourif will return for the sixth time and so will the franchise's writer Don Mancini, who also directed the film.
