Cristiano Ronaldo has signed a $75 million-per-year contract with Al Nassr. The deal is expected to run to 2025 and includes a home for the 37-year-old and his family. The signing ends Ronaldo's free agency period after he and Manchester United had a "mutual agreement" to terminate his contract after the striker made controversial comments about the club in November.
Ronald requested a transfer from Manchester United this past summer and it was reported that a Saudi club was interested in aquiring him. Reports also said that a Saudi team would be willing to spend big money to land the superstar footballer.
"History in the making," said Al Nassr after the deal was complete. "This is a signing that will not only inspire our club to achieve greater success but inspire our league, our nation, boys and girls to be the best versions of themselves."
