“Crisis On Infinite Earths” is the highly anticipated superhero crossover on The CW. The plot is based on the 1985-86 comic books, in which Anti-Monitor (LaMonica Garrett) emerges as such a powerful villain that it takes the combined power of all the heroes to bring him down.
For starters, there will be two Supermans on the show, played by Brandon Routh and Tyler Hoechlin. The presence of two Supermans doesn’t mean that they will be from the same Earth or timeline, Screen Rant reported. The two characters may also get different back stories.
With the Man of Steel there usually comes the Caped Crusader. Kevin Conroy, who has voiced the Dark Knight in multiple projects, is expected to play Batman in the crossover, Comic Book reported. The character he will be playing is expected to pay homage to the aging character in “Batman Beyond” animation series.
Burt Ward, who played the role of Batman’s sidekick in the 1966 TV series, is also in the crossover. His role in “Crisis On Infinite Earths” hasn’t yet been confirmed, so fans will have to wait and see if he will come back as Robin.
Man of Steel’s love interest Louis Lane will be played by Bitsie Tulloch. Ruby Rose, who is playing Batwoman in the solo TV series of the character, will be reprising her role.
Pariah (Tom Cavanagh) is the immortal scientist from the comics who is responsible for freeing Anti-Monitor. The character is expected to have a similar role in the crossover.
While Anti-Monitor is the main villain of the crossover, Garrett will also be playing the role of The Monitor, a character who will fight alongside the superheroes. The character has already been seen in the Arrowverse, and he will play a big role in the upcoming event.
There should be more characters from different superhero teams. But, so far there haven’t been any confirmation about them.
“Crisis On Infinite Earths” starts with the “Supergirl” episode on December 8, and will be the main theme in the other CW superhero shows like “Batwoman,” “The Flash” and “Arrow.” The event will end with the “Legends of Tomorrow” episode on January 14.
