Season 10 of “Criminal Minds” continues tonight with an all new episode and fans sound prepare to be seriously bugged out by the BAU’s latest unsub. In the fourth episode of the new season, the full BAU team, including, Rossi, Morgan, Reid, JJ, Garcia, Hotch and new comer Kate Callahan, played by Jennifer Love Hewitt, will be called in by the Atlanta Police Department to investigate a string of bizarre murders committed by a still unknown suspect who supposedly suffers from a rare skin affliction. If the episode title, “The Itch” doesn’t leave fans crawling out of their own skin, then a sneak peek clip from CBS will surely do it. In the preview video, Dr. Spencer Reid observes one of the victims of the bug obsessed killer, and determines that he “wants his victims to feel what is going on inside of him.” And after a few truly disturbing shots of large insects crawling under the skin of his victims, Callahan reveals that the unsub “takes his victims and covers them in insects.”
In addition to the discovery and profiling of the “The Itch’s” unsub, fans should expect to discover even more about the cast’s personal life in episode 4. Fans have seen a change in format for Season 10 of “Criminal Minds” with the introduction on new character Kate Callahan, also came an all new backstory and personal life. In episode 3, “A Thousand Suns” fans learned that Callahan’s sister and brother in law both perished tragically while working in the Pentagon during the 9/11 terrorist attacks, this prompted Callahan to adopt their sole surviving daughter Meg, as her own. Callahan opened up about the tragedy because the team was investigating a devastating and mysterious plane crash, after revealing her personal life to Reid, he also did the same. The young and intelligent doctor told Callahan that his life changed forever after witnessing the death of his girlfriend, he also revealed that his mother, who has been featured on the series in season’s past, suffers from schizophrenia and he fears that he too may suffer from the mental disorder.
