A love letter a woman says she found attached to her Amazon packages by the delivery driver has left the woman—and her husband—feeling unsettled.

The note, coupled with the driver's suspicious behavior caught on home security cameras, led the family to contact the police.

The woman posted the note on Reddit, questioning whether she overreacted by calling law enforcement about the note. Initially discovered when it slipped out from between Amazon packages she was carrying inside, the folded paper had her initials and the word "DISCRETE" written on the exposed side.

"Nothing has stopped me in my tracks quite like the way your hair cushioning that pretty smile beneath your sparkling eyes," the inside of the note read. "Since that moment I haven't forgotten your face. I look to just only get that off my chest - and seek to do nothing of this sort again... that is of course if it is fine by you ..."

Signed "The Amazon Guy," the note prompted the woman and her husband to review their security footage. They observed the driver covering his face with a mask as he approached the camera and noticed that in previous deliveries, he had winked directly at the camera. The driver had also lingered outside their home for about 10 minutes before leaving the note.

"I'm sure you can imagine that at this point, my husband was ready to disembowel someone," the woman wrote. "My nervous system was sounding the alarm bells."

Concerned for her safety, the couple contacted the police, who she says determined no laws had been broken. The officer did allegedly speak to the driver, who apologized and claimed it was a misunderstanding. Reportedly embarrassed, he assured the officer it wouldn't happen again.

As a stay-at-home mother of three she relies heavily on contactless delivery services for groceries and household items, typically avoiding face-to-face encounters. "I never answer the door (too anxious)," she said. "But I always try to show my appreciation by waving as they drive away, leaving drinks and snacks, or tipping extra."

While the officer considered the matter resolved, the woman's husband remains unsettled and wants to escalate the issue with Amazon. The woman, meanwhile, questions whether her concerns are justified, hesitant to potentially cost someone their job.

Commenters urged the woman to contact Amazon, at least to have the driver's route changed. Many shared harrowing accounts of personal experiences with stalking and inappropriate advances.

Amazon has not publicly commented on the incident.
