A Florida man was arrested for masturbating in front of customers at a Starbucks in Miami Beach on Friday, March 11, according to reports.
Blake Reign is now charged with lewd and lascivious behavior, disorderly conduct in an establishment, and resisting an officer without violence.
The 27-year-old self-proclaimed homeless male model was seen by several witnesses pleasuring himself at the Starbucks on Collins Avenue and 29th Street around 9:30 a.m. Friday.
Around 9:30 a.m. Friday, officers were dispatched to a Starbucks located at 2912 Collins Ave. after receiving a call about a "lewd and lascivious subject," according to an arrest report from the Miami Beach Police Department.
Witnesses told responding officers that Reign was masturbating inside the coffee shop as well as near the store’s outdoor seating area.
Alyssa DiMaria, a customer at the coffee shop who used her phone to record the disturbing incident said his disgusting behavior in front of an American flag went on for about 10 minutes.
"What are you [expletive] doing? Get the [expletive] out! It’s disgusting!" she yells at him in the video, obtained by Local10 News.
She said there were "30-plus, 20-plus" people in the cafe when the Reign began pleasuring himself.
"Everyone’s witnessing it," she told the outlet.
According to reports, Reign is accused of harassing other women outside the café as well.
"He’s literally just touching himself to us," Madison Doyle told the outlet. "Making eye contact with us. Everyone in the store sees it."
Reign reportedly fled the scene on foot when officers arrived.
"He was almost in a state of ‘nothing there’ when he was chasing us, but immediately when the police showed up, he perked up and literally sprinted," Halley McGookin said.
Police said they had to repeatedly shoot Reign with a dart-firing stun gun after he refused to comply with their orders to stop and kept fleeing, according to the reported arrest affidavit.
Reign was shot roughly eight times. Officers used "closed fist distraction blows" and kicked him in the lower back area before finally subduing him. An officer was injured after he fell during the foot chase.
"I didn’t commit what they said I committed," Reign said in bond court, the outlet reported.
His bond has been set at $700.
According to records, Reign was at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on Sunday.
Dimaria said she would never want to go back to the café.
"It will always be in the back of my head," she said.
A spokesperson for Starbucks issued a statement citing their policy on proper behavior.
"Once alerted to the customer’s behavior, our partners (employees) took action and local authorities were immediately called," the statement read.
"We want our stores to be a welcoming environment and our partners are empowered to address any behavior that doesn’t meet our 3rd Place Policy."
