The first semifinals game of the Copa América Cenetnario is taking place tonight between Argentina and the U.S.A. team.
There is no doubt this game will be extremely challenging for the U.S. squad, being that they’re facing the clear favorite to win the tournament.
Prior to the quarterfinals game where the U.S. eliminated Ecuador 2-1, Jurgen Klinsmann said they would be the underdogs “no more.” "The whole old story is the underdog story, and I cannot hear that story anymore," he assured. “I want to see them risk things. Let's go for it. Because if you're not going for it, sooner or later they're going to break you down.”
While the team in fact did take risks, it cost them some very valuable players as Bobby Wood, Alejandro Bedoya and, of course, the red-carded Jermaine Jones will not be playing.
Last Saturday, Argentina comfortably beat Venezuela 4-1, and they will most likely have star player, Lionel Messi, in the field for most of the game.
Once again players to be on the lookout for on the Argentinian side include Gonzalo Higuain, Sergio Aguero and Angel di Maria. And as for players who will surely deliver a great game on the U.S. side, keep an eye on Geoff Cameron, John Brooks, Fabian Johnson and Kyle Beckerman could give fans a pleasant surprise.
The U.S.A. vs. Argentina semifinal game will be at the NGR Stadium, Houston, Texas, at 9:00 p.m. ET.
