Comedian and Actor George Lopez
George Lopez take on a serious movie role in the movie Spare Parts VOXXINews You Tube

The movie 'Spare Parts' is based on the incredible true story of four undocumented Mexican-American high school students from Phoenix, AZ who formed a robotics club and are led by their teacher (George Lopez) with nothing but spare parts and a dream to compete against MIT in a National Underwater Robotics Competition. This movie starring George Lopez, Marisa Tomei, Jamie Lee Curtis, Carlos PenaVega and Alexa PenaVega will be in theaters January 16, 2015. George Lopez's take on a serious movie role is quite the stunner especially when he’s been known for being one of the funniest men in show biz.

His new movie “Spare Parts,” however, will touch your heart and hit home for many Latinos in the U.S. “I knew the movie would not be done unless I played the teacher,” Lopez told VOXXI about his leading role as Fredi Cameron, a high school professor who serves as a mentor in a troubled school. “The story’s good. It’s very dramatic and very emotional.” Lopez said he can relate to the plot perfectly fine: “I made no secret that I’ve had a pretty rough life. In a rough life you have to laugh, but also be able to cry. Sometimes it’s very difficult for Latinos.”
