Comedian Lisa Lampanelli, 51, has reportedly lost 106 pounds after having gastric sleeve surgery. The Inquisitr reported her new weight settles in around 140 pounds. The insult comic said she was ecstatic at the results of her surgery: "One of the best parts of losing weight has been the clothing!" Lampanelli said, "I roll up to Macy's and go to the sales rack and see how much I can get for a little amount of money," she continued, saying that shopping has become somewhat of a "game" for the comedian.
Lisa Lampanelli is best known for her consistent presence at the "Comedy Central Roasts". Close friends of the woman or man of the hour along with a number of Comedy Central regulars tell oft-raunchy jokes at the expense of the guest of honor, as well as eachother.
At the 2010 celebrity roast of actor David Hasselhoff, comedian Gilbert Gottfried offered the standard jabs at the night's guest, but was remembered for his humorous criticism of Lampanelli's now-former girth. "Lisa had a little bit of trouble choosing what to wear this evening," Gottfried said in his trademark screechy delivery, his eyes squinting as he grasped the lectern, "She couldn't couldn't decide between the honey glaze and the pineapple slices," Gottfried continued, finishing one of his more G-rated lines of the evening.
Indeed Lampanelli said she has cut down on her food intake since having the gastric sleeve surgery, which involved having part of her stomach removed. "I have to figure out my addiction issue and how I even got overweight in the first place," she said.
