A lot of fans are eagerly awaiting "Cobra Kai" season 4 which premieres on Dec. 31, 2021. However, it appears followers won’t have to wait long with reports that “Cobra Kai” season 5 is almost done filming.
There is a lot to expect in the fourth season with Daniel Larusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) uniting their respective dojos against the Cobra Kai group now handled by John Kreese (Martin Kove).
Although the students of Larusso and Lawrence were seen in the season 3 finale training together, a bumpy ride is expected to start the fourth season of “Cobra Kai.” In all, they will have to find a way to co-exist if they are to succeed against Kreese and his speculated partner, Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith).
Digging deeper, there is also the question of how the relationship of Samantha Larusso (Mary Mouser) and Miguel Diaz (Xolo Mariduena) will go. The only thing that appears to be certain is that a turning point in their relationship may not happen until “Cobra Kai” season 5.
No less than co-showrunner Jon Hurwitz avoided answering the question when asked by someone to describe the relationship on Twitter.
Considering the upcoming seasons will offer new twists and explosive plots, the next question is how long will “Cobra Kai” last?
Rare would Netflix give series more than three seasons but "Cobra Kai" is undoubtedly one of the top-grossing films. For now, the fact that season 5 is nearing completion, the next thing most will want to know is if there will be a sixth season at the least.
Hurwitz would rather cross the bridge when he gets there when asked on a definitive number of seasons that “Cobra Kai” would be up.
“We know where we’re going, but the number of seasons it’ll take to get there is yet to be determined,” Hurwitz responded on Twitter.
That may hinge on how well the fourth and fifth season of "Cobra Kai" turns out.
"Cobra Kai" season 4 debuts on Netflix on Dec. 31, 2021, a great way to cap the year after a long wait.
