The CMT Awards were entertaining and there were a lot of surprises, Miranda Lambert and Florida Georgia Line were the big winners last night, they two country powerhouses walked away with two trophies for their music videos.

Miranda Lambert won Female Video for her single “Mama’s Broken Heart” and CMT Performance of the Year for the ballad “Over You.” Check out her wild, fun, and girly video

Miranda’s song “Over You” has been one of her most awarded tunes, check out her killer live performance of “Over You” at the American Country Music Awards in 2012.

Meanwhile, Florida Georgia Line continued to get awarded for their incredibly popular summer tune, “Cruise,” winning Duo Video and Breakthrough Video for the song that continues to burn up the charts; the song, surprisingly, was released nearly a year ago.

Check out the catchy song below:

Another winner was Miranda Lambert’s husband, Blake Shelton, who took home Male Video of the Year for his song, “Sure Be Cool If You Did.”

Carrie Underwood, accompanied by her red-carpet shy husband, Mike Fisher, scored the Video of the Year prize for the stormy “Blown Away.”

Also, Lady Antebellum accepted the award for Group Video for the pop-infused “Downtown.”

Some of the most memorable moments came from the many performances throughout the night.

Florida Georgia Line collaborated with rapper Nelly, for a pretty awesome remix of “Cruise,” which takes the relaxed tune to something you could play while at a party. Another interesting, but successful collaboration was that between Jason Aldean and Lenny Kravitz singing “American Woman.”

While she didn't come home with awards, Taylor Swift still put on a memorable performance in a sexy red corset dress. The country star turned pop and crooned her song “Red.” I thought it was such a strong vocal performance for Swift, and especially live!
