Grammy winner, Christina Aguilera and fiancé Matt Rutler welcomed a baby girl on Saturday, August 16, in Los Angeles, Us Weekly reported. The singer had been very proud and public about her pregnancy and even posed naked for V Magazine. Aguilera said, "As a woman, I'm proud to embrace my body through all stages of life, staying fearless and confident in surrendering to the unknowns the future has in store." She then thanked the magazine for the amazing photo shoot via Instagram saying, "[Thank you for] giving me the freedom to bare my soul & body at this incredible, magical, transition time in my life. #Grateful."
It’s no wonder the singer’s had a great pregnancy as she’s also been pampered by her Mom and close friends. Last July 12th, Aguilera was showered with love and gifts at her baby shower in LA, which she called, “very romantic.” She wore a flower crown and a white Lattice maxi-dress and received kisses from her beau on her growing bump. One of the highlights of the bash was the very explicit cake of a blonde woman giving birth, which said, “Push Xtina Push.”
It’s been a big year for “The Voice” mentor who got engaged a month before announcing the couple was expanding their family. This would be Xtina and Matt’s first child together, and second child for her as she is already mom to Max, her six year-old son, whom she had with ex-husband Jordan Bratman. Now mom of two, Aguilera announced the birth of her daughter via Twitter and revealed the baby’s name: Summer Rain. Congrats to the proud parents!
