Christian Pulisic To Play For Team USA Saturday Vs. Netherlands

Christian Pulisic took to social media while on his hospital bed to let everyone know he’d be ready to go for Team USA’s game against the Netherlands. Pulisic was the hero in the USA’s game against Iran, scoring a goal in which he was hurt. He has been diagnosed with a pelvic contusion and is considered day-to-day.

Pulisic has been one of the leaders on Team USA and his goal against Iran is one of the most important ones in the team’s history in the World Cup. Pulisic stayed in the game for a few minutes but didn’t return to the field at halftime. He crashed into the goalie as he scored the goal.

As for Team USA, they are the underdogs entering their matchup against the Netherlands. Both teams failed to qualify for the World Cup in Russia four years ago. The US has been to the round of 16 in 2010 and 2014 but lost both times. They last advanced to the quarterfinals in 2002 when they lost to Mexico.
