Christian Nodal breaks his silence and addresses infidelity accusations, Cazzu and Ángela Aguilar

MIAMI - There is a new power couple in the world of Latin music. Ángela Aguilar and Christian Nodal have officially confirmed what the internet has been buzzing about: they are indeed in a romantic relationship. While she took to the US edition of ¡Hola! magazine to spill the tea, the música mexicana singer-songwriter chose a more defensive, albeit laid-back approach, sharing the news in a social media video.

Neither Nodal nor Águilar are known for announcing new romances, so this confirmation was quite unexpected and shook fans, especially those loyal to Nodal's ex, Cazzu, the Argentinian urban music star and mother of his 8-month-old daughter, Inti. The timing and manner of their announcement have stirred up quite a controversy.

Even Belinda's fandom has come out with very damning comments for the new couple, remembering the rumors that, while they were dating, she didn't like Nodal's 'friendship' with Aguilar.

In their messages, both artists insisted that their romance had been a long time coming. They went as far as to say that it was "a continuation."

"It's not a new relationship, it's the continuation of a story that life made us pause so we could grow and miss each other. Because when we let go, coming back made us more ours," said Aguilar to ¡Hola!

Aguilar and Nodal's professional history dates back to 2018, when Nodal joined the Aguilar family's 'Jaripeo sin fronteras' tour. Back then, rumors of a romance were quickly squashed, thanks to Ángela's protective father, Pepe Aguilar.

In 2020 they dropped their cute song 'Dime como quieres,' which is now been seen as a declaration of love by Nodal (he penned the track,) although he was with Belinda at the time.

Turns out, those whispers might have had some truth to them. Fast forward to today: both artists are navigating public scrutiny and allegedly familial disapproval as they embrace their relationship​.

Nodal and Cazzu announced their breakup less than three weeks ago.

Fans first started piecing things together when they noticed Aguilar wearing a necklace that belonged to Nodal and saw them in the same city at the same time.

"Well, my people, I know that many of you found out today that Ángela and I officially have a relationship, and since you all love gossip and creating stories, out of respect for my ex-partner, out of respect for my daughter, and out of respect for my current partner, I wanted to come out and give you a bit of context," he began.

Sometimes love just doesn't work out, and now I find myself experiencing something beautiful with a woman I love, with a love that took so many years to happen, and we are enjoying it, we are living the experience."

Fans are not happy for Nodal exes Cazzu, even Belinda

Celebrity romances are nothing to write home about. Much less romantic relationships between close colleagues. The problem in this case is that Christian Nodal has been back-to-back in three very public romances with very famous women.

The first was his very mediatic relationship with Belinda, which included extravagant love declarations and even an engagement. Two months after their scandalous breakup, he was dating Cazzu, and now two weeks after they announced the end of the relationship, he is with Aguilar.

The irony is that Christian Nodal has been giving interviews to promote his current tour "Pal' Cora," and had been talking about his love and admiration for Cazzu and his painful breakup from Belinda, all while he was already dating Ángela Aguilar. Quite a messy affair.
