Christian Chavez has replied via Twitter to the open letter that ex-boyfriend Ben Kruger wrote to LatinTimes about their tumultuous relationship. Although in the message the former RBD singer does not mention Kruger, it is clear that he is referring to the letter that exposed their troubled past culminating the day they both were arrested by police over domestic violence. "It's easy to tell fictional stories. But difficult is to survive them," the Tweet reads. The message was written on Sunday (October13), two days after Kruger wrote en extensive letter that accuses the Mexican actor of lying and manipulating the press to his favor after the incident that ultimately ended their relationship. "Christian had been famous for almost 10 years. He knew the vast majority of the reporters covering the story, many of them personally. Some were RBD fans. He has direct ties to all the major magazines and networks, and he controlled every aspect of every interview he did," Kruger wrote about the press rounds Chavez made after the horrific incident.

The letter came days after Christian posted pictures on his Twitter account where he is seen on the floor with blood running down his arms with the caption that read, "I just want to say to all you people with a double moral...no more." Ben has been criticized for choosing this specific moment in time to raise his voice, but he explained to LatinTimes why he did so. "I’ve chosen to speak now because the public is starting to see the extent of Christian’s mental instability and his ruthless tactics to remain relevant at a time when the spotlight on him is fading. He is surrounded by 'friends' who take advantage of him without his knowledge. It seems everyone around him has an ulterior motive."

His former RBD bandmates have also responded to the shocking images after Chavez himself uploaded a video to YouTube where he confirms they were in fact real. "I adore and respect him a lot. I prefer to remain silent due to the friendship we hold," Dulce Maria told "Hoy." Christopher Uckermann on his side said, "Christian has always said what is on his mind, but he has always been grounded. It surprised me but they are life's downfalls. We sometimes don't think about what we upload to Twitter but he is a great person." Christian's former boyfriend also gave his opinion on the graphic photos saying, "There’s no doubt in my mind that the images he tweeted we real and there’s no doubt in my mind that he is in a state of 'extreme crisis' battling drug addiction and depression. Despite everything he has done to me, I now only feel sorry for him."

Christian was set to be part of the ensemble of a new Telemundo gossip show but with the recent negative press the singer is receive, his future is uncertain. According to radio show "Formula Espectacular," Telemundo is trying to distance itself from the current controversy surrounding Chavez and is not using him to promote the show. This does not meen he has been let go from the project yet, but sources close to the production have not ruled out Christian exiting the project. Rumors also find Christian at a psychological rehab center to battle his depression problems. His last tweet was posted today (October 14) where he says, "Running, besides burning calories makes you feel stronger and in control of yourself. Survivor."
