Just a few days ago, disturbing pictures were posted on Christian Chávez’s Twitter account. The images show the singer laying on his floor with blood on his arms. He also appeared to have what looks like large gashes in his wrists. Another image showed the former RBD singer lying on the floor with his eyes closed and a bottle of alcohol next to his head. "I just want to say to all you people with a double moral...no more," wrote Chávez on his Twitter page.
The photos went viral and hashtags such as “ChristianChavezTeAmamos” and “StayStrongChristian” emerged on the social platform. Soon after the images gained a lot of attention, Chávez deleted them. One of his friends even tried to play the incident as a joke, and said that it was more like an artist’s statement than an actual suicide attempt, but a close family member actually confirmed the pictures were real and said that the singer is going through “an extreme crisis.” After a lot of speculation, Chávez finally came clear and posted a short video on his social media accounts.
“First of all, thanks for watching this video. To me it is very important to clarify that the images that were published, were real. I’m going through a difficult time, I know I’m not the only one, I know that many other young people are going through the same thing. But I also know that with my family, and your love, with God’s love and with my hard work towards what I love, I’m going to be alright. Thank you very much, and I hope to see you soon.”
Chávez has been in the spotlight ever since the April 30 incident with his now ex-boyfriend Ben Kruger. According to what was reported, the two men got in a fight that escalated into a violent situation, leaving both of them injured and in jail. The singer has been very open about it giving interviews with his side of the story, and just today, Kruger released a letter explaining his side of the story as well and revealing shocking details of his relationship with Christian.
