Chris Hemsworth could be getting the “Best Dad of the Year” award if he keeps up the good work. On Saturday, the Australian actor posted a photo on social media announcing he had managed to save his daughter India’s birthday.
“What happens when the bakery says they don’t have time to make your daughter a birthday cake?” the star of “The Huntsman: Winter’s War” wrote on Instagram. “You get involved and smash one out yourself! I call it 'La TRex a la chocolate.'”
Hemsworth’s wife, Elsa Pataky, couldn’t stop herself from gushing over her talented husband and added, “Papa working hard on India’s birthday cake! Happy birthday India, love you more than anything!”
This is not the first time we hear about Chris’s hidden talent: cooking. Earlier this month, the Spanish actress and model shared a photo of her hunky hubby whipping some eggs in the kitchen and wrote, “Papa making some late snack after premiere @thehuntsman.”
But being chef Hemsworth is not the only reason the actor should be named “Best Dad” this year. During a sit-down with Ellen DeGeneres on “The Ellen Show” last month, the actor proved just how supportive and loving he is.
“My daughter’s kind of envious of my [2-year-old twin] boys at the moment,” he told Ellen. “She came to me the other day and said, ‘Papa, I want one of those things that [my sons] Sasha and Tristan have…the things in between their legs.”
“Girls have breasts,” the actor revealed was his first response. “I don’t want breasts!...I really want one…I want a penis!,” the toddler replied.
So, daddy came up with the perfect response. “You know what? You can be whatever you want to be,” he said.
Chris and Elsa met in 2010 and decided to tie the knot months after during a Christmas holiday with their families. They recently celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary next to their three little bundles of joy, India Rose, Sasha and Tristan.
