Most women dream about incorporating sweets into their diets. If you are like me, I hate giving up sweets when I have to lose weight, so I’m always trying to find “healthy” sweets that can be a good fix for my sweet-tooth. While doing research, I came across The Chocolate Milk Diet.
The Chocolate Milk Diet consists of consuming three 8 oz. servings of chocolate milk throughout the day. It can be: when you wake up, before you work out, and after. Or, if you don’t get to work out on a specific day, you can do: morning, afternoon, and night. Be careful, the fact that you are drinking chocolate milk, doesn’t mean that you can eat junk food for the rest of the day. It is not a magic potion.
Here are 4 things that should know about The Chocolate Milk Diet:
1) The Calcium Effect: Recent researchers have been exposing the way that calcium affects your belly. Studies have shown that it can stop your body from absorbing fat. 1,000 mg of calcium can translate to losing nearly 18 lbs of flab.
2) The Vitamin D Factor: Vitamin D is responsible for moving calcium from your food to your body, which means that you are probably also missing the calcium to stay slim. Chocolate milk is fortified with vitamin D, so drink up!
3) The Endurance Boost: Like we said before, Chocolate Milk is not a magic potion, you still need to stay active in order to lose the weight. However, by drinking a glass before and after your work-out, you become more energetic.
4) The Protein-Body-Weight Connection: Building muscle helps you stay thin, and Chocolate Milk can help you do that. Our body needs 10 to 20 grams of protein a day in order to burn muscle. By drinking 3 cups of chocolate milk a day you are getting 24 grams of protein, and that is without counting the extra protein consumed during your day!
You have no excuse now! Drinks some Chocolate Milk, move a little, and bring some weights with you. You’ll be looking slimmer in no time!
