You know you're a New Yorker when you hear that there is a new 23k gold chocolate bacon in town and your first reaction is "I need to try that."
And no, we did not make that up. It turns out that the folks at Baconery, guided by the very inventive mind of Wesley Klein, developed this new "luxurious" snack combining Nueske's cherrywood-smoked bacon, Guittard semisweet dark chocolate and 23-karat edible gold flakes.
Baconery is a store for bacon lovers and dessert lovers who want to try the perfect balance between a salty and sweet treat like a delicious bacon brownie, or a chocolate peanut butter bacon cookie, or chocolate bacon pretzels, and even maple bacon blondies.
"Like a mad scientist, I spent months in the kitchen with breakfast chefs, pastry chefs, and more, until we stumbled upon the exact formula for infusing these two ingredients into the perfect culinary combination," explains Klein, referring to the marriage of sweet treats and savory bacon.
The new chocolate bacon gold invention is available by online requests and you can get it for $39.99 a piece.
