Césc Fábregas is rumored to be transferring to Chelsea for a whopping $27M. According to the Daily Mirror, the Barcelona midfielder looks "destined for a Premier League return this summer with the Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea all linked with a move." However, the paper suggests that Chelsea is the most likely candidate and reveals that the deal could go down for as much as $27 million dollars.
The rumors of Fábregas' imminent departure from Barça came after Gerard Piqué let slip the midfielder might be on his way. Piqué was asked about Cesc Fabregas' position on the team on Saturday in Washington, where the Spaniards were set to face El Salvador in friendly match in preparation of the World Cup in Brazil. Piqué has been very clear in his praise of Fabregas but also indicated that the midfielder was dissatisified with his place on the team
"I love him. I know he's having a difficult situation because the club doesn't value him as a player. At any other club in the world he would be one of the stars of the team but with Barça it is so much harder, " Gerard Piqué explained. "I do not know what he's going to do," he added, "because we have not talked about but I hope he will continue with us." Yet this doesn't seem to be the case: according to the Daily Star the 27-year-old has passed a medical with Jose Mourinho's men.
