After her temporary hiatus from the music scene, Cazzu seems more ambitious than ever. The Argentine artist kicked off 2025 by not only promising new music for the weekend but also venturing into acting with her first Netflix project. Filming for her acting debut is taking place in Ushuaia, Argentina, famously known as "the end of the world," as it is the southernmost city in South America.

Fans spotted the star, celebrated for her feminist lyrics and her unyielding stance on dignity and motherhood following her publicized breakup with Christian Nodal, on set in the picturesque town of Tierra del Fuego.

Cazzu on Netflix

Cazzu is in Ushuaia for the filming of 'Risa,' where she is set to make her international acting debut. Sharing the screen with the notable Argentine actors Darío Peretti and Joaquín Furriel, Cazzu is stepping into new territory.

Scenes filmed on Monday, January 20, featured Cazzu alongside Peretti in an outdoor setting.

The artist was seen wearing a red sweatshirt adorned with a yellow emblem from the fictional supermarket "La Victoria." In one scene, she rushes out of the store and embraces a young girl.

After filming the scene, she was spotted interacting with excited fans.

What is 'Risa' about?

Produced by Lab House Productions, 'Risa' tells the story of a young girl who discovers she can communicate with her deceased father. "Combining elements of drama and fantasy, the film explores themes of grief and hope, with Ushuaia's unique landscapes serving as the perfect backdrop," the film's promotional material states.

According to local newspaper Prensa Libre, filming in Ushuaia will continue for approximately six weeks at various iconic locations, including a mural honoring the Argentine soccer legend Lionel Messi. It remains unclear if Cazzu will stay in the city for the entire production period.

Coinciding with the start of filming, Cazzu teased a new song titled 'Dolce' on her social media platforms. The snippet heard in the teaser, hints at a sound reminiscent of the corrido tumbado genre. Many are also speculating that the song could be about her famous ex, Nodal.

The title, which means "sweet," in Italian could also be a reference to the fashion brand Dolce & Gabbana, whose clothes she wore at the 2023 Latin Grammys with Nodal at her side.

After motherhood, a high-profile breakup, and public scrutiny, the self-proclaimed "Jefa of Latin music" seems poised to dominate in 2025, with fans eagerly anticipating both her cinematic and musical ventures.
