Carroll University was briefly put on lockdown after a gunman was seen roaming part of the Milwaukee-area college's campus. Carroll College spokeswoman Melissa McGraw said that "Two students reported seeing a man with a firearm near our campus and was walking toward Grand Ave. at about 10:20 a.m. Tuesday." The student body was quickly notified via text message telling them to "remain indoors until further notice."

A male described as in his 50s with a brown jacket and black hat was seen near Barstow Street and Grand Avenue with a gun. Police soon apprehended the unidentified man. McGraw said classes had been canceled for the remainder of the day. Details of the situation are still developing.
